We present sea pineapple, a food unknown in China, with good taste

Sea pineapple is widely unknown in China. It might be used if there is a good area to catch this particular seafood. However, even our chef had never heard of it, so I came up with the sea pineapple dish myself. There were several types of dishes that popped up in my mind when I listened to recommendations, and this dish was one of them. I think how delicious it will be and I will decide to offer it I think it is exactly what we are looking for. This is accomplished by having good taste and intuition.

Somehow I can imagine the bitterness of the sea pineapple, so I suggested things like slightly pickling it and had people sample it. So in the end it was created through a trial and error process based on the people’s reactions. There is also a Shin Shin location in Nippori, and the recipes are practically the same since the business is family-owned. However, I decided on this dish based on my own preference with the feeling that it would be just right.

Just the right dish for both fans and critics of sea pineapple

The reason why「 Senrei Sea Pineapple 」was recommended to me is because I like sea pineapple. When used, it usually appears as an ingredient in Japanese food and mostly served raw or pickled. I was never against the unique taste of sea pineapple, especially after I became an adult. I enjoy it as a high class snack with alcohol.

Although people living in Hokkaido and Miyagi may have had many chances to eat sea pineapple from a young age, I think there are many people living in other areas of Japan that have never even heard of it. At the moment, we are also offering it as a recommended dish. However, as one would expect, the majority of people who order it were fans of sea pineapple from the start.

Even if one is a first timer or is not exactly a fan of sea pineapple, I believe that there will be many people that change their idea about sea pineapple once they try the dish that we offer, even if they never tried sea pineapple before or are not exactly fans of it. It would be nice if our dish influences them to at least try it and maybe even cause them to like it.

There are also some sea pineapple dishes that we are considering offering the future. Starting with easy-to-eat items, I think that I will try offering various dish if sea pineapple becomes more popular.
